This refers to a process that uses electro-magnetic fields and very high temperatures to
bond particles of epoxy-based resin directly to the metal.
The advantages of this process
over paint are (1) a more even coating-- no thin spots and no drips-- and (2) a bond that is
many times more resistant to scratches, chips, and peeling. There is no good reason to
buy a metal product these days that isnšt powder-coated.
